About Us (Who we are)

In Acts 2:42-47 is a description of the first group of believers who gathered together with the Apostles in Jerusalem.

“42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” (ESV)

As a group of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the resurrected Son of God, we try to follow the examples of this first group of believers. We,

  • Devote ourselves to the scriptures
  • Have Christian fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ
  • Meet every Sunday and as regularly as we can
  • Have all things in common
  • Give generously in benevolence
  • We break bread every first day of the week (Sunday).
  • We share many things in common and do our utmost to practice the qualities described in Gal 5:22-24 “22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” (ESV).

Finding the right answers…

Looking for the right answers and finding it difficult to understand? Let us help you.

1. What is the most important question in your life?

It was asked about 2,000 years ago.

“What will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”

“What will a man give in exchange for his soul?”

Jesus asked this question over 2,000 years ago.  Read Matthew 16:26

2. Why is this question important to you? What effect does it have on your future?

“For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and will then repay every man according to his deeds.”      Read Matthew 16:27; 2 Corinthians 5:10

Jesus will return to judge each person according to how they lived on earth.

3. Where can you find the answer to this question? What is your only hope?

“If you abide in My word, then you are truly My disciples.  You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”   John 8:31-32

The answers to our eternal future are only found in the Bible.  Read  John 14:6;  2 Peter 1:20-21

4. We have ALL sinned. You are guilty of sin.

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”   Romans 3:23

5. How can a person have their sins forgiven? What must you do to be saved?

Almost every church and person claiming to be a Christian will agree with Points 1-4.

However … you will get many answers to this question.

Many churches … maybe even most churches … teach salvation is by “faith only”. Faith is essential for salvation … BUT NOT faith only.  Read James 2:14-26

Many churches tell you to pray to God and you will become a Christian. Many have a short printed prayer that you can say and become a child of God.

This is NOT found anywhere in the Bible.  It sounds good … BUT … it is not true.

Christians … those who have had their sins forgiven … can pray for forgiveness because none of us can live a perfect life.  Read  I John 1:3-10

What MUST you do to be save from your sins?

Hear/Study                 Romans 10:17, Acts 17:11, 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16-17

Faith/Believe            Hebrews 11:6, Galatians 2:16; 3:25-29, John 3:16, 36

Repent                         Luke 13:3, 5, 2 Peter 3:9, Acts 2:38

Confess                        Romans 10:9-10, Matthew 10:32-33, Acts 8:35-39

Baptism                        Acts 2:38; 22:16, Mark 16:16, I Peter 3:21, Romans 6:3-11

Sincere men and women claiming to be Christians will give you many answers … conflicting answers … to many Bible questions.  Jesus established ONE church.  However, you see 500 or more denominations that teach different doctrines on many subjects.

I Corinthians 1:10 … no divisions among you …all agree … speak the same things … same mind … same judgment”

No Divisions = No Denominations among you.

I Corinthians 14:33  “God is not a God of confusion as in all the churches of the saints”

All Churches must teach and obey the same truth. Read I Corinthians 1:10; 4:17; 7:17; 14:33

All Christians must have the same spirit, one mind, one gospel, same love, and one purpose.

True Christians will teach and practice Unity … not division. Read Philippians 1:27-2:4

We look forward to talking with you about any Spiritual subject.  You will always get Bible scriptures to support what we believe is God’s Truth.

Read 2 Peter 1:20-21, John 8:31-32
